Accepta 6064 is high performance; highly concentrated solid chemical cleaner and scale remover scientifically formulated for the treatment and cleaning of closed loops and closed circuit water systems.
Accepta 6064 has been developed to clean closed systems removing fouled and troublesome iron deposits and offers an ideal solution for use in small systems where metering of inhibitor into the system is not practical.
Accepta 6064 is a chelation/phosphonate-based cleaner and scale remover which assists in removal of deposit and scale build-up in closed water systems.
Accepta 6064 comprises a small (0.36kg) solid chemical baton wrapped in a water soluble bag. It uses the very latest water technologies to provide a unique mechanism chelation/cleaning and passivation.
The use of Accepta 6064 eliminates the need to clean water systems with dangerous mineral acids which could be detrimental to both the system and the associated handling problems.
Accepta 6064 is designed for closed loops, using in-line filters or system flushing to remove the iron that is cleaned or sloughed off.
Accepta 6064 is packaged in cases containing 30 x 0.36kg water-soluble batons, each baton being enclosed in a sealed cardboard tube.
Each case weighs 10.9kg.

Application & Dosage Information
Depending upon the severity of the iron scale/deposit build-up, typical application rates for Accepta 6064 are recommended at 200ppm in the system water (4 batons per 7570 litres of system volume). More or less product may be needed depending upon the status of the system.
Care should be taken, when cleaning, to prevent clogging of screens, strainers, and lines in heavily fouled systems when applying Accepta 6064.
In heavily fouled systems, it may be advantageous to use Accepta 6064 in conjunction with a side stream filter.
Thermally stable, Accepta 6064 can also be used in open cooling systems. Even though inhibitors are used, corrosion may occur on metal surfaces during the cleaning operation; therefore, every attempt should be made to purge the system after the cleaning process is complete.
Testing & Control
Test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling the use of Accepta 6064 are available from Accepta.
Closed systems can be dosed by using the existing by-pass feeder.
Dissolving rates for Accepta 6064 will vary depending upon the system water composition, temperature, and flow rate.
When dosing Accepta 6064 into an open system, attempt to find a high flow area in the sump of the cooling tower or inside make-up tank that is accessible.
It is always advisable to carry out a 'Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health' (COSHH) assessment before use.
