Evaporative Cooling Systems -Training Course

This practical training course examines the causes and prevention of carbonaceous, phosphatic and sulphate scaling in evaporative cooling systems. The course also covers the theory of corrosion, illustrated by the galvanic corrosion cell and explains clearly the mechanism of chemical corrosion inhibitors. Other issues covered include:

• Cooling tower design features.
• The evaporative cooling process.
• Heat exchanger design features.
• Examination of the potential for corrosion and the various types of system deposition including scale, sediment and biological, on the water side of cooling systems.
