Accepta 6012 is a high performance, highly concentrated solid chemical cooling water scale and corrosion inhibitor scientifically formulated for the treatment and protection of cooling water systems operating under “corrosive” water conditions.
Accepta 6012 is based on stabilised phosphate it uses the very latest anti-fouling and corrosion inhibition technologies.
Accepta 6012 comprises a small solid chemical baton (0.36kg) wrapped in a water soluble bag. It is designed to treat cooling water systems during system start-up, and helps to achieve a suitable inhibitor concentration during this stage.
Accepta 6012 is also a good “catch up” solution for cooling systems that have lost water or where the inhibitor feed has been absent for some time. It is also good for use in small cooling systems where metering of the inhibitor into the system is not practical.
Accepta 6012 contains SHMP poly-phos, PBTC phosphonate, DSP, ALCO 540 high performance polymer and triazole. Accepta 6012 does not contain molybdate or heavy metals such as zinc.
Accepta 6012 is packaged in cases containing 30 x 0.36kg water-soluble bags, each bag being enclosed in a sealed cardboard tube.
Each case weighs 10.9kg.

Application & Dosage Information
At a dosage of 50 ppm in the re-circulating water, this product formulation contains the following:
- SHMP poly-phos - 7 ppm
- PBTC phosphonate - 4 ppm
- DSP - 4 ppm
- ALCO 540 (active) - 11 ppm
- T-T - 3.5 ppm
This formulation is designed for corrosive water conditions which may or may not be scaling in nature. For more aggressive corrosive conditions, i.e. < 0 LSI, feed rates above 50 ppm may be required.
The initial recommended dosage rate for Accepta 6012 is 50 ppm in the re-circulating water. However, in practice, rates should be set to suit individual water conditions.
Testing and Control
Phosphonate or polymer test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling the use of Accepta 6012 are available from Accepta. Maintain ortho-PO4 at 8 ppm, and active polymer at 11 ppm.
When dosed into a cooling system, operators should attempt to find a high flow area in the sump of the cooling tower or inside an accessible make-up tank. Please note that product dissolution rates will vary depending upon water composition, temperature and flow rate.
It is always advisable to carry out a 'Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health' (COSHH) assessment before use.
