Accepta 6023 is a high performance; highly concentrated solid oxidising biocide scientifically formulated for the treatment of recirculating and once through water systems.
Accepta 6023 is a US EPA registered fungicide, bacteriacide, algaecide; and molluscicide for recirculating and once-through water systems.
Accepta 6023 is a halogenated hydantoin based oxidizing biocide that functions as an effective microbiocide through the controlled release of active bromine and chlorine.
Accepta 6023 is recommended for the control of bacterial, fungal and algal slimes in evaporative condensers, re-circulating cooling tower systems, influent systems, industrial wet scrubber systems, sewage systems, auxillary water systems, photo processing wash water, air washers; and brewery pasteurisers.
Published studies demonstrate that the combination of free and combined halogens provided by Accepta 6023 is more efficacious toward biofilm than either free chorine or free bromine alone.
The increased stability of the combined halogens in systems with high halogen demand also allows greater diffusion into the biofilm without loss from unwanted side reactions.
Accepta 6023 is available in fully recyclable plastic bottles each containing 2.05kg of concentrated solid chemical.
Accepta 6023 is packaged in cases containing 4 x 2.05kg bottles.
Each case weighs 8.2kg.
Accepta 6023 contains 1-bromo-3-chloro-5, 5-dimethylhydantoin, 1, 3-dichloro-5, 5-dimethylhydantoin and 1,3-dichloro-5-ethyl-5-methylhydantoin.
Use with Accepta 6019
Accepta 6023 is an activator for residual bromide from the degradation of DBNPA. When Accepta 6019, which is based on DBNPA is used as a cooling tower microbiocide it decomposes to bromide ion.
When supplemented with Accepta 6023, the bromide ion present in the re-circulating water is activated to hypobromous acid, effectively introducing an additional algaecide in to the system.
The use of Accepta 6019 and Accepta 6023 combine together to create a highly effective oxidizing / non-oxidising bio-control programme.
Both Accepta 6019 and Accepta 6023 are US EPA registered.
Accepta 6023 can be used on its own as a chlorine/bromine source.
- Available chlorine % Cl2 - 43%
- Available bromine % Br2 - 43%
Accepta 6023 contains no binders and is effective in both alkaline and acidic pH ranges.

Application & Dosage Information
For industrial re-circulating cooling water systems dosage rates for Accepta 6023 will be dependent on the conditions of the system prior to treatment. Systems that are heavily contaminated should be cleaned prior to product use.
Apply Accepta 6023 to maintain a free halogen residual in the re-circulating water.
3.6m3 of system volume, dosed at 1 ppm, would require 5g of Accepta 6023. Approximately 22 litres of solution from an Accepta approved dissolution system feeder.
There is 0.7g of Accepta 6023 in 3.6 litres of solution.
It is always advisable to carry out a 'Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health' (COSHH) assessment before use.
Testing & Control
DPD free/total test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling the use of Accepta 6023 are available from Accepta.
Feed Accepta 6023 using an Accepta approved system containing no metal parts that would come in contact with solution or vapours.
