Accepta 2586 is a high performance food grade antifoam developed scientifically formulated for use in steam boilers. It is used to prevent boiler water carryover due to unwanted foaming and acts at the water/steam interface to control unwanted foam generation.
Accepta 2586 active component has FDA sanction for its addition to steam boilers used to generate steam which will contact food.
Accepta 2586 is based on polyalkylene glycol; and has an inverse solubility in water becoming insoluble but dispersible at temperatures greater than 60oC.
- Superior quality antifoam for steam boiler systems.
- Reduces foam tendancy and physical entrainment of boiler water in the steam.
- The active component has FDA sanction for addition to steam boilers used to generate steam which will contact food.

Application & Dosage Information
Dose Accepta 2586 at 1.5 - 3.0 ppm into the boiler feedwater.
Dose in proportion to the flow.
Use a positive displacement chemical injection pump.
Severe carryover and priming problems should be investigated.
Antifoam should not be used to 'cover up' problems related to system design.
Accepta 2586 is miscible with other water treatment products.
Control Accepta 2586 dosage by estimating the degree of carry over by measuring the TDS of the condensate.
