Dip Slides, Bacteria & Microbiological Testing

Dip Slides - Accepta’s range of high quality, sterile dip slides, which are some times referred to as paddle testers, are generally regarded as the standard semi-quantitative measurement for bacteria and microbiological testing in the analysis of industrial, environmental and recreational waters.

Accepta's range of sterile dipslides are suitable for the microbiological monitoring of cooling water and similar re-circulating water systems, natural waters, wastewaters and effluents.

Dipslides are generally used when microbiological activity is relatively high (1,000 - 100,000 CFU per millilitre of water) and should be used only as a guide. This is because dipslide accuracy is limited due to the small sample size analysed and the method of obtaining a result. However, dipslides have a significant benefit in that they are very convenient, simple to use and inexpensive.

Decimal increases in microbiological activity can indicate problems with cooling water treatment programs or cooling water contamination.
