Dip Slides, Bacteria & Microbiological Testing
Dip Slides - Accepta’s range of high quality,
sterile dip slides,
which are some times referred to as paddle testers, are
generally regarded as the standard semi-quantitative measurement
for bacteria and microbiological testing in the analysis of industrial,
environmental and recreational waters.
| Accepta's range of
sterile dipslides are suitable for the microbiological monitoring
of cooling water and similar re-circulating water systems, natural
waters, wastewaters and effluents.
Dipslides are generally used when microbiological activity
is relatively high (1,000 - 100,000 CFU per millilitre of
water) and should be used only as a guide. This is because
dipslide accuracy is limited due to the small sample size
analysed and the method of obtaining a result. However, dipslides
have a significant benefit in that they are very convenient,
simple to use and inexpensive.
Decimal increases in microbiological activity can indicate
problems with cooling water treatment programs or cooling
water contamination. |
