Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) Testing Kits
Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) Testing Kits - Accepta's
chlorine dioxide (ClO2)
testing kits have been developed to allow engineers, water treatment
professionals and non-technical personnel to perform a range of
important water quality tests and analysis procedures "in-field",
allowing real time data to be collected quickly and accurately.
| Chlorine dioxide testing and
analysis procedures have traditionally been performed using
either iodimetric titration or colourimetric procedures, using
DPD. However, neither test method is specific to chlorine
dioxide, as all other oxidising agents react in a similar
way.
Recent developments in testing and analysis technology have
also seen the introduction of a colorimetric test method based
on the bleaching effect of lisamine green under alkaline
conditions. This method is however significantly more expensive
than the traditional methods of testing. The cost of replacement
reagents associated with this test method are also increased.
Accepta's Innovative Drop Test
Kits

ClO2 Analysis |
Overcoming these challenges, Accepta's innovative range of high
quality, 'easy to use' drop test kits are specific to chlorine dioxide,
they are extremely cost effective and simple enough to be used by
either technical or non-technical operators.
Easy to Use?
Test results are obtained simply by multiplying the number of drops
of reagent added to the sample to achieve the required colour change,
by a predetermined factor provided in the instructions.
Please note that tests can be carried out without interference
from bromine, chlorine, chlorite, chlorate, hydrogen peroxide, peracetic
acid, or by any other oxidising species, or their organic complexes.
Analysis Equipment
Accepta offer a number of standard test kits, the performance of
each being dependant on the required test range and specific sample
conditions encountered.

Description |
|
0.3 - 24 ppm |
Accepta 61313 is designed for the measurement of chlorine
dioxide in system water with usage levels down to 0.3ppm, and
an accuracy of 0.03ppm. |
|
0.16 - 12 ppm |
As Accepta 61313, plus increased sensitivity to achieve an
accuracy in the region of 0.016ppm, or to achieve the accuracy
of Accepta 61313 on a smaller sample. |
|
0.3 - 600+ ppm |
In addition to system water, Accepta 61315 also allows testing
of chlorinedioxide concentrations produced either by the electrolysis
of sodium chlorite, the acidification of sodium chlorite or
stabilised chlorine dioxide. |
|
0.16 - 600+ ppm |
As Accepta 61315, plus increased lower end sensitivity, accuracy
0.016ppm. |
|
0.3 - 600+ ppm |
As Accepta 61315, plus reagents to neutralise acidic samples
produced either by electrolysis or acidification of chlorites
or stabilised chlorinedioxide stored at a low pH. |
|
0.16 - 600+ ppm |
As Accepta 61317, plus increased lower end sensitivity. |
Total Oxidant |
|
An additional kit is also available for the analysis of total
oxidant levels in drinking water. |
