Boiler Water Test Kits - Engineers Analysis &
Testing
Boiler Water Test Kits - Accepta's boiler
water test kits have been developed to allow engineers and water
treatment professionals to perform a range of important boiler water
quality analysis procedures "in-field", allowing real
time data to be collected quickly and accurately.
| Boiler water and boiler feedwater require careful
test monitoring to ensure the correct water conditions are maintained
at all times. Failure to maintain correct treatment programs
can reduce efficiency, lead to scale forming or corrosive water
conditions and reduced steam purity. Accepta's professional
engineers boiler test kits provide all the standard tests required
to effectively test and monitor boiler waters to ensure optimum
operating conditions are achieved and maintained. |
|
This professional water analysis kit should be used in conjunction
with a managed water treatment program, usually provided by a recognised
water treatment company.

Range |
Reason
for Monitoring |
| pH Meter - Waterproof hand held electronic pH meter. Large
LCD display, detachable electrode and cable and BNC connector
unit. |
0 - 14 |
Used to monitor pH. Boiler water is maintained at high pH
to suppress corrosion. |
| P,M, OH Alkalinity drop test |
50 - 2400mg/l |
Used to determine the concentration and nature of boiler alkalinities.
Excessively low or high alkalinity water has a detrimental effect
on boiler operation. |
| Total Hardness LR drop test |
0 - 50mg/l |
To check feed water quality, usually from a softener plant.
Low hardness feed water reduces scale formation. |
| Phosphate comparator test |
10 - 100mg/l |
Phosphate is primarily a scale conditioner, preventing the
formation and deposition of hard scales. |
| Sulphite and tannin drop tests |
10 - 300mg/l |
Both added as oxygen scavengers. Remove dissolved oxygen from
boiler waters to reduce the possibility of corrosion. |
| Conductivity (Total Dissolved Solids) - Waterproof hand held
electronic conductivity meter. Large LCD display, auto ranging,
detachable cell (1M cable), automatic temperature compensation-
unit housed in a protective rubber boot. |
100 - 10,000mg/l |
TDS monitoring is essential. Excessive dissolved solids lead
to boilerwater carry over, reducing steam quality. |
