Ammonia & Nitrite Control for Aquaria, Ponds & Fish Farms

Ammonia and nitrite control for aquaria, ornamental ponds and commercial fish farms using Accepta's eco-friendly biological treatment product Accepta 7103. Accepta 7103 is an innovative liquid biological formulation specifically developed to aid in the management and control of ammonia and nitrite levels in fish tanks and aquaria, ornamental ponds, commercial fish farms and fisheries.

Accepta 7103 is based on several bacteria strains which have been specially selected for their ability to digest organic matter and control ammonia and nitrite.

Background

Fish breeding and aquaria can experience a number of problems including the following:

    • Concentration of organics from fish faeces and excessive food.
    • Natural build-up of ammonia and nitrite due to waste degradation.

As the levels of organic matter increases the reduced levels of available oxygen and build-up of ammonia and nitrite may be hazardous to fish.

Promoting Healthy Aquatic Environment

Advantages of Accepta 7103

    • Promotes a healthy aquatic environment, required for healthy fish.
    • Provides a clear water environment.
    • Reduces the accumulation of unwanted sludge.
    • Cleans tank surfaces.
    • Reduces algae concentration.
    • Eliminates loss of aquatic life due to the build-up of toxic ammonia and nitrite concentrations.
    • Accepta 7103 is non-toxic, and is completely safe to use.

Directions for Use

Fish Farming (Alevin Breeding):

Dosage rates are dependant upon both volume and layout of the aquatic system.
Dosage itself would normally comprise an initial dosage (seeding) and then a maintenance dosage regime.

Accepta recommends that individual users determine performance and dosing requirements by initial testing.

Please refer to Accepta's technical department for specific dosage rates to be applied to your site.

Standard dosage rates as follows:

    • Initial dosage: Day 1 to 7 = 40 ml / m3 of tank /day.
    • Maintenance dosage: Day 8 + = 5 to 10 ml / m3 of tank /day.

Aquaria & Fish Tanks:

Seeding:

New installations:

    • Week 1 = 10 ml/100 l/day.
    • Week 2 to 4 = 10 ml/100 l/week

Working installations:

    • 10 ml/100 l

Maintenance:

    • 10 ml/100 l/month

If required, the maintenance dosage may be applied twice a month.
